The Day the Music Fried

Now that my graduate days are behind me, and I've found a job that I plan to stay at for quite awhile, and my academic & political blogging is housed elsewhere, I've begun rethinking (again) what to do with this space, and plan to shift it towards crafts, gardening, photos, and the other things I love about my life in DC. One similar blog that I really admire belongs to my friend Ashley, who does a great job integrating photos into her posts, especially when it comes to crafts and food.

Well, here is my best attempt to emulate her...

The Day the Music Fried

We found this tape partially melted in our roommate's car and, naturally, we decided to finish the job. Emily took this particular shot, while I handled the cooking.

Emily is leaving DC soon, but these last few weeks have been wonderful because we've cleared lots of time for family, friends and each other, and haven't been wasting time watching TV or tinkering around the house. Just yesterday, we enjoyed a wonderful bike ride on the Capital Crescent Trail:
